Franklin

Franklin is a century-old vampire whose mild temperament and preference for stability leave him trapped inside an increasingly aggressive Cabal. He works as an analyst and assistant before becoming manservant to the awakened Lord Willoughby. (Chapters 278, 320, 387–397)

Biography

Regret and belated resistance

Franklin interviews his disgraced nephew Clinton and later serves Lance Houseman as a careful intelligence analyst, producing a perceptive assessment of Jason and Farrah. When the Cabal awakens ancient vampires to seize power, Franklin’s habit of avoiding change places him under Willoughby, whose violence confirms that passivity was not safety. Regretting that he rejected Craig Vermillion’s earlier offer, Franklin covertly arranges access to a reality-core store and eventually joins Craig’s effort. His choice comes late and under pressure, but turns detailed Cabal access into a chance to limit the damage. (Chapters 278, 320, 387–397)
