Bussinger is a gold-rank Earth essence user distinguished by red-and-gold equipment and paired golden vambrace-gauntlets. Captured after Jason dismantles her faction, she becomes important because her self-cleansing power may advance research into otherwise permanent spiritual contamination. (Chapters 962–967)

Biography

Defeat and an unexpected research role

Bussinger enters the confrontation believing a coordinated group of gold-rankers can accomplish almost anything. Jason’s direct assault destroys that certainty, but she remains sceptical enough to demand evidence when he explains the damage caused by reality-core extraction. He takes her prisoner and then to Carlos’ research centre after noticing how she purges afflictions. A ritual examination confirms that repeated use of Tribulation Lightning removes infinitesimal amounts of monster-core residue from her soul. The effect is far too slow to cleanse her in practice, but it offers a mechanism that could help Carlos research conditions whose only known cure is death. (Chapters 962–967)

Skills and relationships

Bussinger’s Tribulation Lightning strikes herself, painfully removing active afflictions and slowly scraping deeper spiritual contamination. Each deeper effect is almost undetectably small; Jason estimates that centuries of continuous use would be needed for meaningful personal cleansing.
