Boris Ketland, also known as Boris Ket Lundi, is an ancient Unorthodox messenger who has lived on Earth since before humanity. Biography
The hidden rebellion
Boris helps Noreth betray the Network founder, then spends ages building an Unorthodox refuge while avoiding the attention of orthodox messengers. He refuses Noreth's reckless EOA programme but later helps the Asano Clan continue one project because he trusts its ethics more. When Jason's transformation changes the strategic balance, Boris offers sanctuary and leadership to messengers choosing autonomy, while insisting that their allegiance must be voluntary rather than another form of ownership. Magic and abilities
Boris is a messenger of immense age with advanced aura control, disguise, cosmic knowledge and access to inter-world magitech. He can live under human identities and advise Earth researchers, but the Laws of Intrusion limit how directly he may hand over advanced knowledge. His strategy therefore relies on nudging local development instead of simply importing a finished civilisation's technology. (Chapters 941, 974)
