Lurial

Lurial, the Clockwork Bloom, is one of four Outer Gods who answer Neo Hargraves's challenge. Her planet-sized lotus, clockwork angels, World, and time machinery are manifestations or subordinates rather than independent Lurial copies. (Chapters 547–551)

Biography

Time distortion and failed escape

Lurial rules from a bronze-and-crystal lotus whose motion distorts Time across dimensions. Near Earth she dismisses its people's pain as ordinary within an infinitely suffering existence, then helps the other Outer Gods attack Neo. She slows him with her Divinity but fears his survival and hesitates to deploy her World. Lurial twice tries to flee through portals; Neo closes the final escape, destroys her clockwork prison, and consumes her body and Divinity with World Ender Flames. (Chapters 547–552)

Powers and limitations

Bloom of Time's Machine slows Neo's body and perception through chronomancy, while her mechanical World and portals reshape Time and space. Greater output lets Neo resist the slowing, and world-devouring roots jam the gears supporting her power. Her caution preserves her longer than the other Outer Gods but cannot overcome Neo's restraints or World Ender Flames. (Chapters 550–552)
