King Morgan

King Morgan is a witch-king loved by one of Neo's earlier incarnations and later identified as a part severed from Gluttony. She is connected to Moraine's larger continuity without being treated as an immediately interchangeable present personality. (Chapters 265–269 and 687)

Biography

Love, memory seals, and the nightmare imitation

Morgan first appears in Neo's recovered past-life memories as a princess who visits him daily and later becomes his beloved king. The seals placed over his accumulated memories appear designed so that assassination breaks one into raw healing energy, preserving body and soul while releasing another life. Neo attributes that protective construction to Morgan, whose work continues saving him long after their shared life ends. (Chapters 265–269)

Inside Tartarus, a nightmare takes Morgan's form, accuses Neo of forgetting and betraying her, and dies in his arms. Neo explicitly recognizes that figure as a product of his longing rather than the historical woman, even though the loss still hurts. Later, Kevin identifies historical King Morgan as a part no longer connected to Gluttony but “still Gluttony,” explaining why Neo's supposedly coincidental loves repeatedly lead back toward Moraine. Appearance and personality

Neo remembers Morgan as cute, lazy, kind to him, and ruthless toward enemies. Zera's account adds a guarded side: Morgan attacks the fellow witch and hides the meeting from Neo. The nightmare's jealous cruelty cannot be transferred directly to historical Morgan because Neo rejects the imitation's behavior as unlike her. (Chapters 266, 423, and 435)

Powers and limitations

Morgan is a witch who can create sophisticated memory seals across reincarnations and nearly pierces Zera's heart when they meet. The text gives no numbered personal rank or mastery. Her severance from Gluttony also means later Moraine feats cannot automatically be assigned backward to Morgan. (Chapters 269, 435, and 687)

Relationships

Neo is Morgan's lover and the beneficiary of her seals. She rejects Zera, apparently guarding an attachment that she does not disclose. Her link to Gluttony makes Moraine part of the same broad continuity, but Kevin explicitly describes Morgan as no longer connected, preserving distinct lived experience.
