Gwen
Gwen di Langley is an academy student who dies during the S-rank Shadow Window mission and continues as a soul in the Underworld. Her corpse and later speaking self belong to the same post-death continuity, not a living copy or resurrection. (Chapters 146, 154–156, and 357)
Biography
Kendrick's rescue and mistaken revenge
Gwen resists Underworld Darkness through her own affinity while Kendrick becomes corrupted. Desperate to save him, she serves Mad Hound after he claims the corruption can be reversed and attacks Neo with lightning-wrapped arrows. She gives up concealment to stop Neo from killing Kendrick, threatens him when he refuses, and is knocked unconscious. Neo then leaves her with Selene so she will remain protected from corruption. (Chapters 154–156)
Leonora later finds Gwen and brings her into a Soul Hunter team. Kendrick has entered reincarnation after asking Neo to end his monstrous state, but Gwen does not know either fact. From her perspective Neo brutally killed the person she was trying to save, so she refuses resurrection and vows to remain in the Underworld until she can kill him. Her revenge is founded on missing information, not a change of identity. (Chapters 357–358)
Appearance and personality
Gwen uses a bow and fires arrows wrapped in golden lightning. She is proud and confrontational, yet her defining quality is loyalty pushed into desperation: she accepts a dubious master and attacks a stronger enemy because any possibility of saving Kendrick matters more than her safety. (Chapters 154–155)
Powers and limitations
Darkness affinity lets Gwen resist the Underworld's corrupting environment, and Invincible enhances her attacks while she serves Mad Hound. No formal personal rank or elemental mastery is stated. Resistance keeps her selfhood intact but does not give her accurate knowledge of Kendrick's fate. (Chapters 154–156 and 358)
Relationships
Kendrick is the center of Gwen's rescue attempt and revenge. Mad Hound exploits that loyalty; Selene and Leonora become her protectors and teammates. Neo saves her from corruption and honors Kendrick's request for reincarnation, but secrecy turns him into the enemy Gwen believes she must punish. (Chapters 154–156 and 357–358)
