Gremory
Gremory is the fifty-sixth Grim Reaper and Gatekeeper of the Underworld. She coordinates travel, messages, and receptions around the Gate while serving Neo as a prince of the Underworld. (Chapters 356, 605–606, and 723)
Biography
Gatekeeping across altered history
Gremory meets Neo with a panicked apology for failing to attend his arrival and repeatedly bites her tongue while trying to maintain ceremony. She nevertheless gives precise information: only eighty-one Grim Reapers can exist, Andromalius relinquished the seventy-third position after learning that another timeline passed it to Neo, and Neo's badge therefore still connects him to the institution. (Chapter 356)
Later, Gremory answers badge calls, helps summon high-stage reinforcements, and recognizes Neo after he returns through the changed family history. She brings him and Jack to tea, alerts Paimon and Barbatos, and remains at the Gate to receive the Supreme of Water. Her nervous speech never prevents her from carrying out protocol or reconnecting separated Underworld allies. (Chapters 605–606, 709–710, and 723)
Appearance and personality
Gremory has golden eyes and presents herself with bows and formal curtseys. She is conscientious, hospitable, and easily flustered; biting her tongue becomes a recurring embarrassment. Her actions are steadier than her speech, especially when she studies unfamiliar arrivals or prepares reinforcements. (Chapters 356, 606, 709, and 723)
Powers and limitations
As Gatekeeper, Gremory controls or administers passage and communications around the Underworld Gate. The Stage 4 Grim Reapers requested in Chapter 606 are reinforcements, not evidence that Gremory personally holds Stage 4. Her only explicit personal hierarchy is the numbered Grim Reaper rank. (Chapters 356 and 605–606)
Relationships
Gremory treats Neo as First Prince, works beside Cerberus, and coordinates with Paimon and Barbatos. Her care toward Jack is more cautious, but she still hosts him under Neo's protection. (Chapters 356, 606, and 709–710)
