Dren

Dren Voluun is a Universal Alliance operative who briefs Nameless Death and places him inside the Voraka Site as a prospective weapon. His own formal stage is never stated. (Chapters 565–567 and 626)

Biography

The Voraka calculation

Dren receives Nameless Death with a friendly, human-looking manner and explains the Universal War as a consequence of Heavenly Principles that force weaker worlds to seek strength. He then assigns the captive to the Voraka Site, where weakened berserk Death Elementals should be survivable. Dren estimates that the Heavenbreaker will emerge at peak Stage 4, strong enough to leave but still manageable by the Alliance. (Chapters 565–567 and 575–577)

Years earlier, Dren argues against destroying Voraka because the being inside can become an asset. The gamble fails in the way Alliance planning does not anticipate: Neo emerges at Stage 5 with his identity restored and power beyond the projected weapon. Dren watches from behind the glass, sweating, while Neo identifies the man who forced him into the Site as his first Alliance target. (Chapters 626, 659, and 667)

Appearance and personality

Dren looks human: tall, broad-shouldered, with short black hair neatly combed to one side. He smiles readily and explains ideology as if hosting a guest, but nervous fidgeting appears once the supposed asset exceeds Alliance control. (Chapters 565–566 and 659)

Powers and limitations

Dren has access to Alliance facilities, strategic intelligence, and authority over Nameless Death's placement. The peak Stage 4 and Stage 5 labels in his scenes describe Neo, not Dren. No direct source gives Dren a personal rank or combat mastery. (Chapters 567, 575, 626, and 667)

Relationships

Dren acts as handler, jailer, and ideological instructor to Nameless Death. His cordiality does not make the arrangement voluntary: he is preparing a captive for war. Once Neo's memory returns, that coercive relationship becomes personal enmity. (Chapters 565–567 and 667)
