Dorothy

Dorothy is the black-haired reinforcement who helps escort Neo back to the Demigod Academy. The ostrich also called Dorothy in Chapters 410–412 is one of Kane's named birds and is not established as the same being; its actions and attributes are excluded from the human's biography. Biography

A dramatic reinforcement becomes an escort

Dorothy arrives near the Crack with a whistle and a deliberately theatrical manner, irritating Signora by insisting that entrances should be impactful. When Signora prepares to attack the men emerging from the Window, Dorothy swings her scythe and uses Death to kill the Space elementals powering the spell. She calls herself reinforcement and prevents an ally from turning the return into another battle. (Chapters 335–336)

Dorothy follows Neo through the opening with visible excitement, hoping to witness more of his strength, but he leaves an Intent Clone rather than performing for her. She then carries out the practical order beneath the spectacle: escort Neo safely to the principal. Her last direct human scene has her accompanying Neo, Jack, and the crowd gathering at the academy gates. (Chapters 337–338)

Appearance and personality

Human Dorothy is black-haired and carries a scythe. She grins at danger, enjoys dramatic entrances, and is openly curious about powerful combatants. Despite that theatricality, she can suppress an ally's attack and follow a protection assignment without provoking an unnecessary fight herself. (Chapters 335–338)

Powers and limitations

Dorothy uses Death through her scythe to kill Signora's Space elementals and can move through the barrier route she helps secure. No formal personal rank or mastery is stated. The battle instincts and Seraph comparison in Chapter 412 concern an opponent attacking the ostrich namesake, not the human escort. (Chapters 336–338 and 412)

Relationships

Signora is an irritated colleague whose judgment Dorothy overrides during the tense return. Neo is both her assigned protectee and the source of her curiosity, while Jack travels with them to the academy. (Chapters 335–338)
