Lecidna

Lecidna is a golden dragon of the Garden of Sunset who allies with Yu IlHan during the dragon war in Dareu. Her final intervention saves him from a higher existence and leaves him responsible for their son, Yumir.

Biography

Alliance in Dareu

Lecidna introduces herself after Yu IlHan defeats a dragon and later joins the minority of dragons fighting beside him. Although not the highest-level member of that group, she is described as its wisest. She uses wind to distract, obstruct, and redirect hostile dragons so Yu IlHan can attack from concealment. (Chapters 91, 97)

Sacrifice and final request

When Teraka casts off its shell in an attempt to kill Yu IlHan, Lecidna intercepts the attack and is mortally wounded. She transforms into a golden-feathered bird, warns Yu IlHan about the enemy’s condition, and asks him to finish the Destruction Demon Army’s dragonkin and return to her lair. She dies after he accepts. (Chapters 98–100)

At the lair, Yu IlHan finds her letter and a golden egg. The egg hatches after receiving his flame and mana, revealing the child Lecidna intended to entrust to him. Yu IlHan names and raises the child as Yumir. (Chapters 101, 105–106)

Farewell

Chantless wind magic

Lecidna casts wind magic without a spoken chant, allowing her to react during the rapid exchanges of a dragon battle.
