Shen Junan

Shen Junan is a Thought Manifestation cultivator favored by Crown Prince Lin Wenjun and placed in command of the first attack on the Boundless Sect's Ten Thousand Swords Mountain. His personal power is substantial, but greed, impatience, and contempt for weaker cultivators draw him away from his army and into a coordinated counterattack that kills him. (Chapters 960–963)

Biography

Assault on Ten Thousand Swords Mountain

Shen volunteers for the campaign to prove himself to the Crown Prince. He urges speed without understanding the strategic reason behind it, dismisses a subordinate's caution, and attacks the mountain without warning. He interprets the sect's extensive buildings as a convenient excuse for rebellion and orders three hundred war chariots and three thousand Imperial Guards to begin an extermination intended to fulfill Lin's revenge. Guo Wenchang meets him with a series of valuable defensive tools and retreats. Shen's greed grows with each treasure; despite warnings that the main battle needs him, he chases Guo away from the mountain and directs the rest of the force to manage without him. The apparent disorder at the sect is an illusion, and his separated subordinates are destroyed by disciplined groups of bloodline-free Light Shaking cultivators. (Chapters 960–961)

Killing Guo Wenchang and dying

Shen eventually breaks Guo's Sage Aspect with overwhelming Thought Manifestation power and inflicts fatal corruption through the Five-Dragon Hand. Guo continues delaying him until hundreds of Boundless Sect disciples arrive. Shen finally tries to flee, but Guo's last Chains of Righteousness hold him long enough for the formation's massed weapons to rip him apart in a single combined strike. Guo also dies from his wounds, making Shen's campaign a total military loss rather than the profitable victory he expected. (Chapters 962–963)

Appearance and personality
