Sachar
Sachar, whose clan-style full name is Sachar Inferno, is one of the Ravagers' three Gods of War and the blood uncle of Anubi. Old and declining but still formidable, he dies holding back a Beast wave so that Southern Advance Castle's defenders can retreat.
Biography
Restraining the Crazed Monarch
Sachar's authority extends beyond the battlefield because he is one of the few people capable of disciplining Anubi. He restricts the monarch's worst abuses, stops him from collecting more wives, beats him after a burned residence, and limits the gladiatorial games to condemned criminals. These measures do not transform Anubi into a humane ruler, but they impose boundaries that disappear after Sachar's death and reveal the God of War's sense of responsibility toward a country led by a dangerous relative. (Chapters 701–702 and 710–719)
Last stand at Southern Advance Castle
When a Beast wave overwhelms Southern Advance Castle, Sachar understands that only his reputation and remaining strength can hold the rear long enough for an organized retreat. He orders the others away and charges with three thousand personal guards, accepting that the position is fatal. His flaming blade incinerates ordinary beasts and kills multiple Demonic Lords while every guard around him falls. Exhausted by the defense, he can no longer withstand a beam from the Scarlet Heart's floating palace; it strikes his chest and destroys him, completing the sacrifice that lets the retreat proceed. (Chapters 688–690)
Sachar's soul is later refined with those of other fallen Ravager generals into an Origin Energy Soul. Its power and combat insight help a paper-doll vessel advance, but the process is use of his remnant rather than personal survival or resurrection. Later recollections continue to measure Anubi's decline against the restraints Sachar once imposed. (Chapters 701–702, 705, 712, 719, 725, and 727)
Appearance and personality
Sachar is an old Ravager whose Qi and blood have declined with age. The corpus does not give reliable height, build, clothing, facial features, hair, or eye details. His weakness is relative to his own prime: even in decline, he remains one of the country's strongest warriors. (Chapters 688–690)
He is stern, disciplined, authoritative, and committed to duty. His treatment of Anubi can be physically harsh, but it is directed toward limiting a ruler whose impulses harm the state. In his final battle, he neither seeks rescue nor spends lives casually; he recognizes that his own rearguard action is the only credible way to save the retreating force and shares the fatal position with his personal guards. (Chapters 688–719)
Abilities and cultivation
Sachar is a peak Totemic Inscription warrior who has undergone six baptisms in an Origin Energy Temple and reached the closed-system Perfection Realm described for top Ravagers. He is one of three Gods of War, though age has reduced his Qi and blood before his final battle. The corpus does not name his complete totem set or quantify how much strength he has lost. (Chapters 688–690 and 719)
Totemic body and temple baptisms
Totemic Inscriptions and repeated temple baptisms grant Sachar the physical power, endurance, and Origin Energy capacity expected of a Ravager at the peak of the system. He can continue fighting through a vast Beast wave after lesser warriors fall and personally kill multiple Demonic Lords. The source does not separate which traits come from individual totems, the six baptisms, or his Perfection state. (Chapters 688–690 and 719)
Age is an explicit limitation: his Qi and blood are already declining, and the final defense exhausts even his remaining reserves. The feat therefore demonstrates extraordinary endurance without implying that he retains his prime condition. His death ends his bodily cultivation, and the refined soul carries only residual power and insight. (Chapters 688–690 and 712–725)
Flaming blade offense
Sachar channels fire through a blade, sweeping flames across the Beast wave and killing enemies up to Demonic Lord level. Its effectiveness depends on his own remaining energy and repeated physical engagement; after prolonged fighting and the loss of all three thousand guards, he lacks the strength to defend against the floating palace's beam. The blade is unnamed, its exact technique mechanics are not explained, and it is not assigned to his finalized persistent-item inventory. (Chapters 688–690)
Origin Energy Soul remnant
After death, Sachar's soul is refined together with other generals into a concentrated Origin Energy Soul. A vessel that absorbs it gains energy and access to combat understanding sufficient to support a Lord-class breakthrough. This is a posthumous resource made from Sachar, not an ability he consciously continues to wield; the corpus does not show his personality returning or the remnant surviving independently afterward. (Chapters 705, 712, and 725)
Relationships
- Anubi: Sachar is Anubi's blood uncle, military pillar, and principal disciplinarian. His authority restrains some of the monarch's abuses, and Anubi becomes harder to control after Sachar dies. (Chapters 701–702 and 710–719)
- Personal guards: Three thousand guards choose the final rearguard with Sachar and die around him. Their sacrifice makes his last stand a collective defense rather than a solitary display. (Chapters 688–690)
- Iron and Blood Country: Sachar's office as God of War and his decision at Southern Advance Castle are defined by service to the Ravager state, even when its monarch is personally destructive. (Chapters 688–719)
