Northbow Swords
The Northbow Swords are Ji Ning's set of six sentient divine swords and his principal weapons during the later stages of his cultivation.
History
Naming the sword family
After the six swords gain sentience, Ning names them “Northbow”: “North” recalls his Darknorth title, while “bow” honors Yu Wei's Rainbowflame title. He regards their newly born spirits as family and commits himself to caring for them. (Chapter 980)
Weapons of the Omega Sword Dao
The swords magnify Ning's Omega Sword Dao and work with his heartforce arts, making the Blood Drop stance vastly more powerful. Their material can also become soft and flexible enough to wrap around and restrain an opponent rather than merely cut it. (Chapters 1120 and 1207)
Autarch-level transformation
By the end of the corpus, Ning draws the six swords into his heartworld and begins remaking their quintessences according to his Autarch Omega Sword Dao. The transformation reflects his final artificing insights while preserving the original six-sword set. (Chapter 1450)
Abilities and properties
- The six swords amplify Ning's Omega Sword Dao; in conjunction with his Heartsword arts, they produce an extreme increase in attack power. (Chapter 1120)
- Their flexible material can bind and capture targets as well as deliver sword strikes. (Chapter 1207)
- Each sword possesses a sentient spirit capable of intelligence, growth, and independent cultivation. (Chapter 980)
