Sword Immortal Evergreen

Sword Immortal Evergreen is a renowned Pure Yang Sword Immortal whom the Xia Emperor asks to accept Ji Ning as a disciple. He later betrays the Crimsonbright League, joins the Seamless Gate, and dies seconds after breaking through to the Daofather level.

Biography

Prospective master

Evergreen is the only Sword Immortal among Daofather Crimsonbright's Pure Yang True Immortals and has thoroughly mastered the Grand Dao of the Sword. He agrees to take Ning as a disciple and sends a message talisman, but Ning instead leaves for Mount Innerheart. Evergreen treats the uncompleted recruitment as a fulfilled instruction rather than pursuing the young man, and Ning later feels apologetic about departing without explanation. (Chapters 354–419)

Hidden allegiance

During the Grand Xia Realmwar, Evergreen arrives as a solitary reinforcement and outwardly behaves as Crimsonbright's junior disciple. His comments repeatedly emphasize the alliance's likely defeat. He eventually reveals concealed power and attacks his own battle line at a critical moment, declaring the betrayal his long-awaited glorious day. The strike causes a dangerous local collapse and exposes his allegiance to the Seamless Gate. (Chapters 529–546)

Breakthrough and death

Evergreen continues fighting for the Seamless side into the final Endwar. Under extreme battlefield pressure he masters a Heavenly Dao and immediately consumes Great Firmament Immortal pills to become a Daofather. The Nuwa Alliance concentrates more than ten formations on the new major power and kills him within seconds, preventing the breakthrough from changing the war. (Chapters 734–735)

Appearance and personality

Evergreen is a young man with a strange-looking face and an outstanding aura of talent. He is solitary, arrogant, and emotionally detached from worlds whose survival does not affect him. His long-hidden ambition and theatrical delight in betrayal contrast with the decorum he displays before Crimsonbright. (Chapters 531–543)

Abilities and cultivation

Grand Dao of the Sword

As a Pure Yang True Immortal, Evergreen has thoroughly mastered the Grand Dao of the Sword and is famous across the Three Realms. He controls Immortal swords at range; during his betrayal, three azure-black streaks of sword-light carry his fully released hidden power. The corpus does not name the underlying sword manual. (Chapters 357 and 543–546)

Daofather golem command

The Seamless Gate places Evergreen inside a Daofather golem, letting him wield power far beyond an ordinary True Immortal. The golem's durable body withstands joint attacks from Ning's Heaven Punisher and Redsnow's Seven Planets God, but this is equipment-derived power rather than Evergreen's permanent cultivation. (Chapters 559–563)

Heavenly Dao breakthrough

In the Endwar he masters a Heavenly Dao and uses Great Firmament Immortal pills to complete the transition into a Golden Immortal/Daofather. The advancement succeeds, but leaves no time for consolidation or escape before concentrated formations kill him. (Chapter 735)
