King Qi
King Qi is a Celestial Immortal of the Grand Xia imperial clan who serves the Xia Emperor during the Conclave of Immortal Destiny. He organizes court protocol and personally guides the three finalists through the imperial Dao Repository.
Biography
Convening the Conclave
The Xia Emperor summons King Qi before the Conclave's central proceedings. Qi leads the Celestial Immortals in saluting the emperor and responds immediately when given orders, functioning as a senior master of ceremony inside the Skylight Palace. He later helps direct the many delegations from the 3,600 commanderies and Four Seas, translating imperial decisions into orderly movement. (Chapters 317–320 and 355)
Guiding the finalists
When Ji Ning, Adept Blackstone, and Adept Woodpass earn the right to select a reward, King Qi escorts them to the sixth floor of the Skylight Palace. He explains that the books there are abridged versions of the imperial clan's Dao Repository and that each finalist may choose one divine ability, secret art, or technique. After the Conclave, he accompanies King Yan to Ning's estate with favorable news from the imperial court. (Chapters 350–357)
Appearance and personality
King Qi wears long yellow robes embroidered with a Raindragon. He has a round face with soft lines, while his eyes are compared to stars. His scenes emphasize composure, respect for hierarchy, and administrative precision; even when stunned by the emperor's generosity, he carries out the ruling rather than challenging imperial authority. Abilities and cultivation
Celestial Immortal cultivation
The narrative explicitly identifies Qi as a Celestial Immortal. This places him above the Conclave's young competitors and gives him standing among the assembled immortals, but the scoped chapters do not show him fighting or name a personal combat technique. Imperial repository knowledge
Qi understands the structure and rules of the Xiamang clan's Dao Repository. He can guide finalists through abridged manuals and distinguish divine abilities, secret arts, and techniques, while enforcing the one-selection limit.
