Kindwater Xiaolou

Kindwater Xiaolou is the leading young noble of the Kindwater clan and one of the imperial capital's Four Dukelings. He invites Ji Ning to Cloudwater Manor, where a social gathering becomes the setting for Ning's dramatic clash with Xiao Lang.

Invitation to Cloudwater Manor

Xiaolou welcomes Ning as a peer to a banquet at his clan's Cloudwater Manor. Although he shares the Four Dukelings title with Youngflame Nong, their clans are mortal enemies, and Xiaolou is described as superior in resources, personal ability, connections, and tribal strength. His gathering brings together prominent young cultivators to watch arena battles while building relationships around the Conclave. (Chapters 306–307)

Witness to Ning's battle

During Xiao Lang's provocation, Xiaolou explains the Bloodfire Millstone and Skywater Net Formation to the guests, showing familiarity with elite techniques. When the confrontation turns lethal, he watches Ning reveal a Grand Dao Domain, control more than two hundred Heaven-ranked treasures, and survive the Whitebone Immortal Slaying Needle. Xiaolou rapidly reassesses Ning's wealth and power, recognizing that even a mobile estate and peak Loose Immortal-level Primaltwin may be involved. After Xiao Lang's humiliation, Xiaolou's guests and clan experts treat Ning as a figure of exceptional importance. (Chapters 308–312)

Appearance and personality

Xiaolou is a white-robed, barefoot youth. He is warm and socially confident, greeting Ning without condescension and maintaining a gathering of influential peers. His internal reactions are analytical: rather than merely marveling at spectacle, he identifies techniques, estimates power, and infers what resources Ning must possess. (Chapters 306–312)

Noble resources and standing

Among the Four Dukelings, Xiaolou possesses superior personal ability, connections, resources, and clan backing compared with Youngflame Nong. Cloudwater Manor is protected by Kindwater experts and large formations. The corpus does not show Xiaolou personally fighting, so his exact cultivation rank and combat art remain unstated.
