Exalt Bowenya

Exalt Bowenya is a true Sithe Exalt who rules a hidden dimension and its Sacred Realm. Seeking glory and reward, he forcibly draws Ji Ning into the dimension and spends its population, weapons, and three Daoguard Towers in an attempt to capture the Eternal Omega Sword Dao's truesoul.

Biography

Commander of the hidden dimension

Bowenya administers a Sithe refuge whose inhabitants include true Sithe and descendants born within the local Chaosverse. Standing instructions require the destruction and capture of any Eternal Omega Dao cultivator. Bowenya uses his control of the dimension to teleport Ning into its prepared Purgatory and tells the resident Hegemons that refusal is impossible: violating Sithe orders would bring execution on them and annihilation on the dimension. (Chapters 1358–1359 and 1379)

He assigns Jonnbech to the Iceland Elder Hall and Hawkfang to his father's Flameland Elder Hall, dividing forces among three Exalt-class Daoguard Towers. Bowenya respects Hawkfang's six Hegemonic Daos and lost potential for Autarchy, but still invokes the dead father's example to compel the son into battle. The command structure is backed by oaths; many descendants fight because disobedience means death, not because they share Bowenya's ambitions. (Chapter 1359)

War of attrition against Ning

Bowenya's first major plan seals spacetime around Ning and concentrates the long-distance weapons of all three towers, thousands of Hegemons and Emperors, and layered formations such as the Bloodfiend Maze. He aims to spend Ning's remaining truesoul through repeated large-scale attacks even if direct killing fails. Ning uses the Illusion Sword Dao to make the defenders believe they are exhausting him while he conserves most of his energy. (Chapters 1361–1364)

Bowenya is the first commander to suspect the displayed truesoul collapse may be an illusion, warning that perception and intuition can both be deceived. The warning is accurate, but it comes after most long-range treasures have been spent. He sends the Flameland and Iceland halls forward in sequence, gives Jonnbech every reserve he can spare, and watches hundreds of defenders perish or fall captive. Though he mourns Hawkfang's wasted promise and values Jonnbech as a fellow true Sithe, he keeps his own tower back. (Chapters 1365–1369)

Refusal to fight outside the tower

After Ning neutralizes the field forces, Bowenya refuses a direct challenge. His body and truesoul are Autarch-class, but the local Chaosverse suppresses his usable power; Ning could capture him more easily than kill him. Bowenya judges a battle outside his tower more than ninety percent likely to end in defeat and openly prefers losing the reward to risking his own life. He invites Ning into the Daoguard Tower's nested spacetime maze, where prepared infrastructure offers his only favorable battlefield. (Chapter 1373)

Ning studies and dismantles the tower from outside, mastering additional Sword Daos instead of entering its kill zones. When the destruction reaches the core, Bowenya finally reports to Iyerre. Iyerre opens a remote dimensional tunnel, replaces Bowenya with a powerful tree-like servitor, and extracts him. Bowenya disguises the escape as a panicked release of the tower's prisoner, but the tunnel's ripple allows Autarch Mogg and Titanos to locate the dimension and kill the replacement. Return to Iyerre and death

Iyerre rebukes Bowenya for delaying the report out of hunger for sole glory. The delay left too little preparation time and risked exposing that the Sithelands' seals could be bypassed. Bowenya accepts blame and later joins the reserve Exalts aboard the Grassland World during the final war. (Chapter 1380 and 1432–1436)

Inside the Annihilation Hive, Bowenya rides within one of the Sithe's black warbeasts as they assault the cultivators' Sword Titan. The warbeast shell deflects nearly all of the Titan's paired sword strike, but the remaining force passes through the armor and disintegrates Bowenya and the other Exalts inside. His death comes from transmitted concussive force rather than the shell being physically broken. (Chapter 1443)

Appearance and personality

Bowenya appears as a blue-haired youth seated on a throne. He is experienced, perceptive, and capable of revising his assessment when Ning's illusions defeat ordinary senses. He also values himself far above subordinates: he can calmly watch thousands die, conceal information to monopolize a reward, and abandon his dimension when his own tower is threatened. His limited affection for Hawkfang and Jonnbech never outweighs survival or Sithe hierarchy. (Chapters 1359, 1365–1369, 1373, and 1380)

Abilities and cultivation

Exalt body and Chaosverse suppression

As a true Sithe Exalt, Bowenya possesses an Autarch-level body and truesoul. Because he is foreign to the local Chaosverse, its prime essences reject and suppress him, lowering the power he can actually express to roughly the Blazesun Ruler's level. His body remains extremely hard to destroy, but durability does not prevent Ning's Space Sword Dao from wrapping and imprisoning him. This is why Bowenya refuses a direct fight despite his nominal foundation. (Chapters 1367 and 1373)

Dimensional control and surveillance

Bowenya controls the hidden dimension and Sacred Realm, letting him forcibly route Ning into prepared regions, observe battle images, communicate through nearby incarnations of Sithe descendants, and issue deployment orders across the defense network. Chaotic combat and Ning's Sword Dao Domain can obscure that surveillance. His later escape also requires Iyerre to open a tunnel remotely; local control is not unlimited reach beyond the dimension. Exalt-class Daoguard Tower

His twelve-story Daoguard Tower is built from many interlocked spacetime continuums. It coordinates long-range weapons, sealing formations, stored beasts, and near-Autarch counterattacks while protecting its controller. The tower is strongest against an intruder who enters its internal maze. Ning avoids that condition, analyzes its material and spatial underpinnings from outside, and tears toward the core, proving that the tower's defenses are powerful but finite and energy-dependent. Strategic perception

Bowenya's long experience in the advanced Sithe Chaosverse lets him recognize Omega Emperor concepts and question sensory evidence that deceives younger Hegemons. He correctly identifies Ning's apparent truesoul collapse as potentially false and understands the danger of his illusions. This insight improves tactics but does not automatically reveal the hidden true body or reverse resources already wasted on illusionary targets. (Chapters 1365 and 1368–1369)

Black warbeast

In the final battle Bowenya is one operator or passenger inside a heavily armored black warbeast. The construct can deflect ninety-nine percent of the Sword Titan's impact without visible damage, but it does not isolate occupants from the remaining shock. The transmitted fraction is enough to reduce Exalt bodies to dust, making internal force protection the decisive weakness. (Chapter 1443)

• Ji Ning: The Omega Dao target Bowenya abducts for glory. Ning defeats every external layer, forces his evacuation, and later participates in the Sword Titan whose strike kills him. (Chapters 1358–1380 and 1443)
• Iyerre: Bowenya's supreme commander, who rescues him but condemns his delayed report and orders him back into the final war. (Chapters 1380, 1432, and 1436)
