System Sword

The System Sword is a move-copying weapon first wielded by Cicle and later entrusted to Liam. It records observed sword attacks and reproduces them at their demonstrated strength, complementing Liam's analytical system without becoming the same mechanism.

History

Cicle's copying weapon

Cicle uses the unusual ring-shaped sword against Liam and Safa, copying Light Faction techniques and Liam's imitation of Void Pulse. Unlike Liam's system, which must analyze a movement and teach his body an imperfect version, the sword directly reproduces what it observes at the recorded strength. Safa and Liam survive the encounter and the weapon passes into their allies' hands. (Chapters 1234–1244)

Liam's recorded arsenal

Liam later uses the sword to reproduce several of Raze's Dark Edge formations, including Eclipse Strike. High-output copies consume substantial energy, and Dark Magic can damage or corrupt lesser replicated constructs. Against a Cerebus energy body, even repeated perfect cuts cannot prevent the target from reforming, exposing the difference between reproducing an attack and countering its underlying mechanism. Abilities and properties

• Records and reproduces observed sword techniques, including Raze's Dark Edge attacks. (Chapters 1234–1244 and 1511)
• Can reproduce a technique at the strength observed rather than being limited to Liam's imperfect physical imitation. (Chapter 1234)
• Large copies drain Liam's reserves, and copying an attack does not grant its underlying affinity or solve regeneration. (Chapters 1511 and 1607–1608)
