Mayor Yarlston
Mayor Yarlston is Flendon’s civil leader, responsible for accommodating the Crimson Crane and keeping the town functioning as it becomes a strategic center.
Biography
Flendon’s new protectors
Yarlston welcomes Alba's Crimson Crane after the Neverfall Clan authorizes their base, explaining that he reports to the Demonic kingdom’s central government. When violence approaches, he orders citizens into the town hall or their homes and has spare municipal rooms ready for displaced guests. These choices establish his role as a practical intermediary between warriors and ordinary residents. (Chapters 577–611)
Expansion, defense, and reconstruction
As gifts and newcomers enlarge Flendon, Yarlston spends public funds on mercenary wanderers because the Crimson Crane does not recruit a conventional town guard. He helps rally roughly two thousand nervous defenders, later seeks funds to repair the damaged north wall, and turns the restored area into a public promenade. He remains at the town hall through later mobilizations and joins the town’s farewell when Raze’s force departs. (Chapters 834–1201)
Appearance and personality
The supplied chapters do not give Yarlston a reliable physical description. His actions show civic-mindedness, hospitality, and a willingness to improvise under pressure, though the lightly guarded gates during the major attack also expose the limits of his defensive planning.
Magic, cultivation, and abilities
No spell, cultivation stage, or martial technique is demonstrated for Yarlston. His proven capabilities are administrative: mobilizing civilians, allocating funds, hiring protection, arranging lodging, and coordinating with Flendon’s warrior allies.
Relationships
Yarlston works closely with the Crimson Crane and with Andy on Flendon’s defense. He treats Raze and his allies as the town’s protectors while preserving a distinct civilian government.
Items
Yarlston owns much of the town-hall library’s personal collection. No named combat item or generated item-page possession is established.
