Thunderbolt Pernoa

The Thunderbolt Pernoa is a massive, stringless bow that converts mana into lightning arrows. Once carried by Vermouth Lionheart, it became one of Eugene Lionheart's principal long-range weapons. (Chapters 18, 113, and 238)

History

Vermouth's thunder

Pernoa had a history and owner predating Vermouth, although the supplied corpus does not identify either. Vermouth acquired it during his journey and used shots powerful enough to collapse the ground; after the campaign, the Lionheart clan preserved it in the family treasury. Six years later, Eugene returned to the treasury with a much larger mana reserve and took Pernoa alongside three other Lionheart relics. Lightning Flame and later battles

Pernoa became much more practical after Eugene developed the Lightning Flame and gained access to lightning spirits. Those powers reduced the bow's wasteful consumption and amplified its output. He could form multiple arrows from the flame without manually drawing a conventional string, fire volleys, or produce a concentrated purple bolt. He incorporated the bow into rapid weapon changes against the Death Knight, Jagon, and Raizakia, using its force both to damage targets and reposition them. Eugene still possessed Pernoa late enough to offer it during a discussion about underused Lionheart treasures.
