History

Ozriel takes the Origin Shroud from Daruman and uses it to conceal the origin of his existence before returning to Cradle as Eithan Arelius. The veil defeats ordinary Abidan attempts to identify the missing Reaper. Eithan abandons its protection when the Mad King's attack forces him to reveal himself and restore his former authority. (Chapters 180, 218–219)

Properties and use

The Shroud hides identity at the level of origin, not merely appearance, aura, or sacred-arts advancement. That lets Ozriel pass as a native member of his own distant family line and remain outside Abidan detection. The disguise still requires Eithan to live within Cradle's restrictions until he deliberately releases it. (Chapters 180, 218–219)
