Naru Gwei is a recurring character or sentient entity in Cradle. Underlord adjudicator of the duel who recognizes Jai Daishou's violation, takes the Archstone, and directs crisis response.
Biography
Containing Eithan's fallout
Skysworn captain forced to adjudicate a clan duel amid an imperial crisis. The governing motive is to preserve the Empire, expose violations, and prevent uncontrolled Blackflame or Blood Shadow threats. Acting on that priority, the character witnesses the duel, secures the Archstone, investigates both students, and creates a legal route that may also kill them in service. The resulting choices connect the character to the phase's central relationships and pressures, including eithan's foresight, Jai Daishou's crimes, Redmoon Hall, and risk of antagonizing powerful patrons. Appearance and personality
Battle-worn older man with matted gray hair, burned facial scar, scratched armor, great sword, and habit of chewing leaves. Weary, suspicious, pragmatic, dutiful, hard-edged, and willing to exploit dangerous recruits under lawful authority.

Uses powerful aura control, spiritual perception, Underlord body, and a large sword; can break restraints and suppress weaker artists. Uses include adjudication, pursuit, containment, and security.
