Staff of Pure Hatred

The Staff of Pure Hatred is the final form of the magic staff first granted to Daniel Thunder as the Staff of Hatred. It later passes to Alex Rogue, is evolved from the intermediate Demonized Staff of Hatred, and ultimately becomes a stored component of the Crown of Calamity. (Chapters 202, 210–212, 288, 312)

History

Daniel’s pact weapon

The Hatred Demon rewards Daniel with the Divine Staff of Hatred, a long carved staff that grants 100,000 Spirit and reduces spell cooldowns by 30 percent. Daniel uses the resulting Spirit advantage during his attack on the Fox Tribe Village, briefly surpassing Alex in magical power. (Chapters 202, 208)

After the Heart of Calamity permanently kills Daniel, the system awards his staff to Alex. Transfer is delayed, but the weapon and Hatred Armor physically materialize for Alex during his next battle, and he immediately uses the staff to channel Crimson Cataclysm. The custody therefore passes from Daniel to Alex rather than reverting to the demon that originally bestowed it. (Chapters 210–212)

Evolution and absorption

By the Abyss expedition the weapon is called the Demonized Staff of Hatred. Alex applies Potential Extraction, turning it into the Artifact-ranked Staff of Pure Hatred with much larger Spirit, Agility, magical-resistance, and cooldown-reduction bonuses. He carries it through the Abyss and channels binding magic through it in the confrontation with Morgathis. (Chapters 288, 295–298)

When Alex summons the staff during his test against Arceus, the Crown of Calamity pulls it away and processes it as the crown’s second stored item. The staff no longer remains a separately wielded weapon; its corrupted stored form grants enhanced passive attributes and cooldown reduction, and it is still listed among the Crown’s components in the Hatred Demon battle. Abilities and properties

• The original Divine Staff of Hatred grants 100,000 Spirit and 30 percent spell-cooldown reduction. (Chapters 202, 212)
• Potential Extraction produces the Staff of Pure Hatred, granting 1,500,000 Spirit, 1,000,000 Agility, 1,000,000 magical resistance, and 50 percent cooldown reduction. (Chapter 288)
• As a focus it channels Alex’s spells, including Crimson Cataclysm and Heaven’s Chains; the staff does not supply every spell attributed to its wielder. (Chapters 212, 298)
• After absorption, the Crown’s corrupted version increases the benefits to 2,500,000 Spirit, 2,000,000 Agility, 2,000,000 magical resistance, and 75 percent cooldown reduction. Those values belong to the Crown-processed form, not the original staff. (Chapter 312)
