Skill Creator Scroll

The Skill Creator Scroll is the shared name of two distinct creation items obtained by Alex Rogue. The first combines five to ten sacrificed skills into a new ability; the second sends its user into a Creation space where precise understanding and visualization determine whether an imagined skill can become real. Their different origins, descriptions, and activation methods establish separate scroll instances rather than one object that persists between uses. (Chapters 317, 320, 444, 446, 448)

History

First scroll: Grand Mage reward

Alex receives the first scroll from the Reward Box awarded after his final Grand Mage student quest. Its rank is displayed as unknown because the result depends on the skills placed inside it. Arceus explains that the outcome can range from basic to Forbidden, and Alex retains the scroll when the Crown of Calamity does not attempt to absorb it. (Chapter 317)

First scroll: Universal Orbs

After planning the fusion, Alex places the maximum ten skills into the scroll. The system warns that inserted skills cannot be retrieved, and confirmation extracts all ten abilities from him. The parchment vanishes after absorbing their essences, leaving a golden orb that enters Alex and grants Universal Orbs, a Forbidden Skill whose ten selectable orbs inherit functions from the sacrificed abilities. A later chapter calls this used object the “Skill Fusion Scroll,” clarifying its fusion role even though its original displayed name was Skill Creator Scroll. (Chapters 319–321, 446)

Second scroll: Creator reward

A second Skill Creator Scroll appears among the rewards for collecting all five tokens, surviving the Palace of Destiny, and earning a Creator's recognition. It is explicitly labeled a Forbidden Item. Alex later judges it far beyond the earlier fusion scroll; the description says it uses imagination to construct a skill in a dedicated Creation space. Vexum states that he personally gave Alex this scroll. (Chapters 444, 446, 449)

Second scroll: Void Blasters and fate

Alex activates the second scroll with mana and enters the Creation space. After failed experiments, he reproduces Vexum's GBlasters from observation, testing their appearance, charge phases, and beam mechanics before confirming the design. The scroll judges the attempt after Alex leaves and grants a modified Forbidden version named Void Blasters. The text does not describe the physical scroll after that judgment, so successful use is documented but its material fate is not. (Chapters 448–450)

Abilities and properties

• The first scroll accepts between five and ten existing skills. More inputs can produce a stronger result, potentially reaching Forbidden rank, but every inserted skill is irretrievably sacrificed. Its result is synthesis-based: the Universal Orbs preserve recognizable properties of the ten consumed skills rather than granting any freely imagined power. (Chapters 317, 319–320)
• The second scroll transports its user into the Creation space, where thoughts can manifest and be tested on a regenerating dummy. The user must perfectly visualize a skill's concept, mechanics, function, and structure. Incomplete understanding can make an apparent test misleading, while a failed confirmation may disintegrate the scroll; once construction begins, the user cannot simply reverse the process. (Chapters 446, 448)
• Familiarity imposes a substantive limit on the second scroll. Alex can reproduce Astolf's skeletal hands because he has repeatedly observed them, but his imagined Death Touch cannot be granted because he does not understand its operation. He succeeds with GBlasters only after reconstructing Vexum's demonstrated charging behavior, and even Vexum estimates the chance of mastering the conditions below one hundredth of one percent. • The granted Void Blasters are weaker than Vexum's originals. Alex can summon at most three; damage during charging destabilizes and resets a blaster's core; and a destroyed or deactivated blaster has a five-minute cooldown. Summoning has no cost because Alex possesses Void affinity. These are properties of the resulting skill, not proof that the scroll itself remains usable. (Chapter 450)
