Hatred Armor

The Hatred Armor, later transformed into the Armor of Pure Hatred, is a divine suit first awarded to Daniel Thunder by the Hatred Demon. Alex Rogue claims it after permanently killing Daniel, equips it, and raises it to Artifact rank through Potential Extraction. Its defense evolves from narrowly magical protection to a broader combination of strength, magical resistance, physical resistance, and occasional complete damage negation. (Chapters 202, 210, 212, 260)

History

Award to Daniel

Before Daniel accepts his final Hatred quest, the Hatred Demon produces three rewards. The first is the Hatred Armor, a suit covered in jagged crimson runes. Daniel equips it immediately and receives its stated bonuses to strength and magical resistance. The item remains part of the equipment associated with his Hatred empowerment until Alex permanently kills him. (Chapter 202)

Claim and transfer to Alex

Daniel's permanent death allows Alex to steal some of his equipment, and the system identifies the Hatred Armor as the first claimed item. Delivery is not immediate: a later notice says the armor and Staff of Hatred are still transferring. Both finally materialize during Alex's encounter with the Magma-Rend Behemoth, at which point he equips the armor and its black surface fuses to his body under waves of crimson energy. (Chapters 210–212)

Armor of Pure Hatred

Alex applies Potential Extraction to the divine armor during the Dragon Bloodline Trial. Its black-and-red plates gain crimson-and-gold highlights, and the system renames it Armor of Pure Hatred at Artifact rank. In the Abyss, the upgraded armor is detected as a three-part hatred set with the Staff of Pure Hatred and Heart of Calamity. That interaction leaks Hatred Demon power into Alex and unlocks Hatred's Fury, though the heart shields his soul from the worst of the influx. (Chapters 260–261, 289)

Last documented state

The armor remains equipped during Alex's battle with Morgathis, where its one-million-point strength bonus is explicitly included in the damage calculation for Bleeding Dragon Claws. The supplied chapters do not document a later transfer, destruction, or separate physical transformation after Chapter 298, so its last supported custody remains with Alex in its Armor of Pure Hatred form. (Chapter 298)

Abilities and properties

  • At Divine rank, Hatred Armor grants 100,000 Strength and 100,000 Magical Resistance. It does not grant Physical Resistance, a limitation Alex notices when comparing magical and physical defense during his first test. (Chapters 202, 212)
  • Potential Extraction converts it into the Artifact-rank Armor of Pure Hatred, granting 1,000,000 Strength, 1,000,000 Magical Resistance, and 1,000,000 Physical Resistance. It also has a five-percent chance to negate all damage from an attack. (Chapter 260)
  • The upgraded armor participates in a set with the Staff of Pure Hatred and Heart of Calamity. Possessing all three enhances their shared hatred power and contributes to unlocking Hatred's Fury, but the episode also inflicts severe soul pressure and invasive hateful thoughts; the skill cannot be activated by choice and corrupts the soul when its unspecified crisis conditions are met. (Chapter 289)
  • The armor's defensive claims are statistical rather than absolute. Even after the Artifact upgrade, the narration limits near-immunity to ordinary opponents and explicitly leaves room for sufficiently powerful enemies to harm Alex. The five-percent complete-negation effect is probabilistic, not a permanent barrier. (Chapters 260–261)
