Zarathustra Enigmalnk is the academy's principal exosuit scientist and the impatient leader who oversees Atticus's experimental assimilation. His fascination with data repeatedly overrides concern for the subject until contracts and superiors stop him.

Biography

Specimen X assimilation

Harrison orders Zarathustra to begin the risky procedure despite the scientist's initial reluctance. Once Atticus's data reveals unprecedented potential, Zarathustra commits fully, directing the Exosuit Division through an assimilation that has rendered every prior subject unconscious. Atticus's ability to remain awake and stabilize the suit exhilarates him, and he immediately plans extensive follow-up tests rather than pausing over the lack of informed consent. (Chapters 414–420)

When Harrison orders Atticus returned instead of surrendered to continued testing, Zarathustra struggles to accept the lost opportunity and invokes the Enigmalnk ideal of reason over emotion. Atticus's anger then provokes Zarathustra into flaring his aura, but academy contracts prevent staff from attacking a student who has not struck first.
