Yotad

Yotad is the Ravenblade assigned to Atticus, defined by silent attention and absolute identification with his master's will. That loyalty culminates in a fatal attempt to protect Anastasia while Atticus is away.

Biography

Service in Atticus's shadow

Yotad kneels with Dario and formally accepts Atticus as master, speaking humbly and treating the appointment as total obligation. He remains quiet during household conversations, guards doors, travels hidden in Atticus's shadow, and follows the young master's decisions even when other Ravenblades question them. His experienced reaction to Atticus's killing intent confirms that he understands violence rather than merely reciting loyalty. (Chapters 532–813)

During Neresa's attack on the Ravenstein hill, Yotad steps in front of Anastasia and Arya and promises internally to give his life for his master's loved one. He charges before Anastasia can stop him, and Neresa's fire reduces him to ash in the air. Atticus later adds Yotad to the people he intends to resurrect, preserving the sacrifice as a personal debt rather than treating the Ravenblade as expendable property. (Chapters 1448–1490)

Appearance and personality

Yotad has raven-black hair and a humble, restrained manner. He is observant, experienced with killing, quiet unless addressed, and so loyal that he acts on Atticus's values even without receiving a direct order.

Abilities, bloodlines, and will

Yotad can hide and travel within Atticus's shadow, emerge suddenly, and wield bladed weapons as a trained Ravenblade. He is prepared to use a scythe against Vector and later charges Neresa with a blade. His stealth does not protect him from large-area fire once he attacks openly, and no rank, bloodline, or named art is specified. (Chapters 681–813, 1448)
