When Atticus later recognizes her by name, Yesmin is visibly startled and embarrassed, blurting out a question while trying to keep composure. Their eventual conversation is light, joking, and genuinely enjoyable for Atticus; Yesmin's disappointment when he prepares to leave remains subtle rather than manipulative.
