Vexarius Drakos

Vexarius Drakos is the exiled Paragon leader of the Sentinel Guardians, notorious for treating every offense as deserving crushing force. His return places that uncompromising justice against Atticus's rapidly expanding authority.

Biography

Return from exile and coerced allegiance

Vexarius returns after decades of exile imposed for a catastrophic battle with Luminous, appearing above the Ravenstein estate to judge Atticus for Nexus deaths. Proud, impatient, and ruthless, he sees chains and punishment as natural answers to uncontrolled power. Despite anger at the new human crisis, he follows orders to guard the border beside the old rival whose battle caused his exile. (Chapters 950–957)

When Atticus demands the Paragons' allegiance, Vexarius resists most violently and is pinned under overwhelming pressure while others sign. Atticus calls him a hypocrite for condemning coercion while having enforced law without proportion. Vexarius ultimately remains within the reordered leadership, still objecting when the group moves toward killing its own people, but without power to reverse Atticus's command structure. Appearance and personality

Vexarius is towering and muscular, with wild black hair, intense amber eyes, a long blue Sentinel coat, and massive gauntlets. He radiates barely restrained rage and is proud, impatient, punitive, direct, and resistant to authority that does not meet his own standard.

Vexarius is a Paragon whose presence distorts the air and whose clenched gauntlets release shockwaves. His historical battle with Luminous devastates entire regions, establishing high destructive scale, while Atticus later suppresses him bodily with pressure.
