Tia

Tia is a child burdened with ten Solvath fragments and targeted for extraction inside a Willguard facility. Her vulnerability forces Thomas to turn years of escape planning into action, and later forces Atticus to choose between distrust and the harm killing her guardian would cause.

Biography

Rescue from the extraction complex

Thomas hides Tia beneath a personally inscribed cloak and tries to move her through the facility without attracting a High Judicator's notice. When the escape fails, she is seized by the hair and treated as a fragment source rather than a child, pushing Thomas and the infiltrators to greater risk. Atticus ultimately retrieves her at Thomas's request, and she returns to Eldoralth with the defectors after the Willguard world falls. (Chapters 1641–1667)

Tia grows within Atticus's coalition under Thomas's protection, remaining frightened by Atticus's deathly aura even when others assure her he will help. Thora uses patience and chocolate to coax her through another dangerous ascent, showing that the group's care helps but does not erase the fear created by years as a captive bearer. (Chapters 1684, 1722)

Thomas later takes Tia to Zenon without permission to extract all ten fragments and give her a chance at an ordinary life. Her body collapses when the fragments leave, but Atticus catches her. She chooses to remain with Thomas after Atticus expels him, preserving her guardian bond at the cost of the coalition's protection; her latest state is alive and fragment-free. (Chapter 1728)

Appearance and personality

Tia is a small child who puffs her cheeks, hides behind Thomas, and responds cautiously to unfamiliar adults. She is gentle, frightened by overt power, fond of chocolate, and unwaveringly attached to the guardian who saved her.

Abilities, bloodlines, and will

Tia carries ten Solvath fragments, an extraordinary burden that makes her valuable to extractors and exposes her to continuing danger. The source does not show her voluntarily activating their powers or establish a personal combat will. Zenon's process removes the fragments, after which she collapses but survives; no retained ability or permanent cost is confirmed. (Chapters 1641, 1722, 1728)

Relationships

  • Thomas Derilic: Tia's rescuer and guardian, whom she refuses to abandon.
  • Atticus Ravenstein: Liberates and later catches her, but expels Thomas after the unauthorized extraction.
  • Thora: A trusted older companion who helps calm Tia.
  • Zenon Myrianda: Extracts Tia's ten fragments at Thomas's request.

Items

No finalized notable item is assigned to Tia. The inscribed concealment cloak belongs to Thomas's escape plan rather than to her established custody.
