Thora

Thora is a restless Will Guard initiate who joins the order hoping to find something worth believing in. Curiosity leads her from clandestine observation to open defection, making her knowledge of Willguard barriers and fragments essential to Atticus's assault.

Curiosity inside the Will Guard

Assigned to a cynical Warden, Thora finds routine enforcement hollow despite her Baron rank and desire for conviction. During the Gilded Debt investigation she disobeys the order to leave, follows Sentinels, and overhears their plan to kill fragment sources. The danger excites rather than repels her, and she later studies the wreckage near the Will Guard base instead of joining a predictable pursuit, beginning her life as an independent informant. Thora eventually gives Atticus truthful information about the Summit laboratory and insists she no longer serves the order. He nearly kills her because fragment bearers and Willguard tattoos make her an unacceptable risk. She proves the tattoo remains bound to her will even after amputation and offers it as access through the sealed barrier; after the Arbiter challenges Atticus's paranoia, he spares her and uses her knowledge in the headquarters campaign. Thora remains with Atticus's coalition through the fragment revelations and final Spirit King conflict. She reacts quickly to threats involving Solvath, is killed or unmade during the climactic destruction, and takes shape again beside Anorah when Atticus restores them. Thora is a short, bald woman whose missing hand and Willguard tattoos become operational evidence. She is curious, excitable, talkative, irreverent, and hungry for a cause, yet sincere enough that Atticus's domain verifies her account.

Thora is a Baron-ranked god and fragment bearer. Willguard tattoos bind to her will rather than merely skin, allowing a severed marked arm to be regenerated with the mark intact unless suppressed or destroyed.
