Sonorous Resonara

Sonorous Resonara is a Resonara academy youth whose enhanced hearing and headset support make him a natural observer and coordinator. His casual confidence disappears when Atticus moves without producing a signal he can detect.

Biography

Supporting Seraphin against Atticus

Sonorous accompanies Gerald during the confrontation over Seraphin, responding sarcastically when told to administer a healing potion. Atticus snatches Seraphin from beside him too quickly to see or hear even while Sonorous's artifact is active. The failure turns his nonchalance into serious attention, but he still remains with the academy coalition rather than withdrawing from the feud. (Chapters 363–369)

At the later summit, Sonorous leads Resonara youths whose glowing headsets and coordinated posture prepare a support action for the Enigmalnks. The battlefield changes before he can react, and an opponent closes to his face almost instantly. He survives the encounter, later checking his face in panic while Seraphin lies battered, leaving his support role intact but thoroughly outscaled. (Chapters 440, 493–503)

Appearance and personality

Sonorous has green hair and wears a large Resonara headset. He begins sarcastic and relaxed, becomes analytical when his hearing fails, and shows understandable fear after direct contact with opponents beyond his reactions.

Abilities, bloodlines, and will

Sonorous possesses unusually acute hearing enhanced by an active headset artifact and can coordinate with other Resonara users whose devices glow together. Sight is explicitly not his strength. Atticus's soundless or imperceptibly fast movement bypasses both perception channels, and later speed prevents the prepared group support from resolving. The exact headset range, power source, offensive output, and family bloodline are not fully stated. (Chapters 363, 493)
