Seraphin Stellaris is a volatile academy youth whose playful public persona hardens into cruelty when Atticus offends him. His attempt to use older students and family prestige ends with a humiliating defeat that shadows later challengers.

Biography

Academy resentment and defeat

Seraphin first appears dissatisfied with his rank and later supervises the torture of other youths while promising his elder brother Gerald that he will handle Atticus himself. He joins the third-year group that confronts Atticus, expecting collective status and power to enforce submission. Instead, Atticus repeatedly seizes and beats him while Gerald and Sonorous struggle to follow the movement, turning Seraphin's revenge into a public demonstration of Atticus's superiority. (Chapters 164, 315, 363–364)

Seraphin remains among the Stellaris-aligned students through the later summit confrontations, but the image of his battered body and damaged neck becomes part of the fear surrounding Atticus. His last direct condition is severe injury rather than confirmed death, and later memories explicitly describe the beating as precedent for what Atticus might do to another opponent. (Chapters 471–503, 526)

Appearance and personality

Seraphin is usually playful and bubbly, making his cold, emotionless anger especially striking to people who know him. He is proud, vindictive, theatrical, and capable of directing cruelty through others while relying on family allies to support him.

Abilities, bloodlines, and will

Seraphin is a talented Stellaris student, but the main-line ability Gerald uses is explicitly beyond Seraphin's current strength to learn. The inspected scenes do not isolate Seraphin's own named technique, bloodline activation, rank, cost, or upper limit. Atticus's speed and strength overwhelm him before he can establish a decisive counter. (Chapters 363–364)
