Rehn Valder
Rehn Valder is the nonchalant leader of the Velmirath team, identified in one source passage as “Rehn Valker.” His medical bearing and illusion-based survivability let him observe a disastrous coalition attack, but not escape Atticus's demand for answers.
Biography
Coalition attack and forced disclosure
Rehn leads Velmirath while trusting the three planners who brought the allied teams to their target. He studies Atticus's mana signature with professional curiosity and maintains an almost strolling calm even as the defenses prove far stronger than expected. When Sirius drives a blade through his head, the apparent kill resolves as an illusion, allowing Rehn to remain beside Caelum while the battle deteriorates. (Chapters 1446–1448)
Atticus's willingness to destroy Surnix Hold horrifies Rehn and breaks his detachment. After Mae orders him to cooperate, Rehn explains everything the surviving leaders know; Atticus reinforces the interrogation with his will and reads his mind. Rehn remains alive in the last scene, but with his information compromised and no leverage over the victor. (Chapters 1449–1450)
Appearance and personality
Rehn walks with his arms behind his head and is explicitly called a nonchalant doctor. He is curious, relaxed under danger, and initially willing to trust allied planners, though planetary destruction exposes genuine horror beneath the pose.
Abilities, bloodlines, and will
Rehn can use an illusion convincing enough to make Sirius believe a blade has penetrated his head, suggesting substitution or sensory deception rather than demonstrated regeneration. The exact activation, duration, range, cost, and medical abilities are not explained. Atticus's will can overpower him and access his mind, providing a clear upper-scale limitation. (Chapters 1448–1450)
