Orion Ravenstein

Orion Ravenstein is Sirius Ravenstein's son, initially driven by jealousy over his father's decision to train Atticus. His rivalry is corrected before it can become a lasting family rupture, and he later fights beside other Ravenstein youths.

Biography

Jealous challenger turned family combatant

Orion challenges Atticus because Sirius refuses to train him while giving Atticus personal instruction, interpreting the choice as a judgment of his worth. He demands a duel and defends his father's name even while resenting the attention Sirius gives another child. The confrontation exposes insecurity rather than a sustained ideological conflict, and Orion remains part of the same Ravenstein training circle afterward. (Chapters 50–133)

During later crises, Orion stands beside Aurora with two swords ready and participates in the family's defense. Sirius eventually explains that he corrected Orion after the Raven camp's fall when his son risked provoking Atticus again, refusing to support him merely out of parental loyalty. The latest account leaves Orion alive and his grievance subordinated to family discipline. (Chapters 499, 549)
