Nira

Nira is a reserved visiting soldier who briefly forms a connection with Caldor before the gathering around Atticus turns violent. Her quiet social manner contrasts with the resolve she shows when forced into a lethal confrontation.

Biography

A brief connection under gathering pressure

Nira gives Caldor her name after he persuades her to share a late meal, then meets him for a simple tour while dressed outside her usual military role. Their awkward warmth is short-lived. When battle breaks out, she clashes directly with Caldor, blocks his sword from killing another combatant, and continues fighting despite accumulating wounds, placing duty to her side above their new personal connection. (Chapters 1440, 1442, 1446–1449)

After Caldor kills one opponent, Nira remains standing as his final adversary until Atticus freezes everyone on the planet. She is then engulfed in extreme fire and screams, but the scene does not explicitly show a corpse or confirm her death. Her latest condition is therefore uncertain rather than safely classifiable as deceased. (Chapter 1449)

Appearance and personality

Nira wears glasses and usually appears in a military uniform; for her outing with Caldor she chooses a crop top and cargo pants. She is restrained, easily embarrassed, and sparing with compliments, yet resolute and protective in battle.

Abilities, bloodlines, and will

Nira is a capable sword fighter who can meet Caldor's attacks, withstand multiple wounds, and interpose her blade to save an ally. The supplied scenes do not name her rank, bloodline, will path, signature power, or special equipment, and her inability to resist Atticus's time-stopping control establishes a decisive scale limit. (Chapters 1446–1449)

Relationships

  • Caldor: A prospective romantic connection who becomes her battlefield opponent.
  • Ember: Fights elsewhere in the same confrontation; no close personal bond with Nira is established.
  • Atticus Ravenstein: Freezes the battlefield and engulfs Nira in fire from afar.
