Biography

A favored god loses her certainty

Lyress enters the Arena as Dreaming Sea's favored child, celebrated as someone who does not lose. She fights Atticus with a crazed smile until his Godspeed Grace brings death close enough to erase it, and he defeats her. Their later exchange shows her responding with flirtatious irreverence rather than simple hatred, while Atticus studies acquired Somnera power and separates it from a different withering effect. Appearance and personality

She appears as a curvaceous young woman around twenty, dresses revealingly, and uses movement, winks, and teasing speech with deliberate confidence. That playful provocation drops when genuine death reaches her. (Chapters 1259 and 1292)
