Lucy
Lucy is a recurring figure whose role sharpens one of the story's personal, political, or military conflicts.
Biography
A familiar attendant appears in two conflicts
Lucy first serves Zoey as a deferential childhood maid, carrying Lumindra's household summons and respecting the young lady's privacy. Much later she fights beside Erion in a gothic-styled crew, using mental communication during their clash with Atticus. She reappears in Zoey's reconstructed Starhaven life, where the familiar greeting triggers unease and helps reveal that the apparent domestic continuity has been manipulated. (Chapters 155, 646–648, and 1175–1176)
Appearance and personality
She is initially defined by a maid's bow and formal speech, while later scenes call her gothic and show fear, urgency, and loyalty toward Erion. The corpus does not securely reconcile detailed clothing or coloring across every appearance. (Chapters 155, 646–648, and 1175–1176)
Abilities, bloodlines, and will
Lucy can communicate directly into allies' minds and coordinate hidden attacks, an application that helps Erion approach without Atticus initially sensing him. She also uses mana-enhanced close combat but is physically redirected into a wall. The exact origin, range, privacy, and limits of her telepathy are not explained, and no rank or mature Will is securely stated. (Chapters 646–648)
Relationships
Zoey is the young mistress she serves; Erion is the combat partner she urgently protects.
