Kass

Kass is a recurring figure whose decisions shape the pressures surrounding Atticus and the wider conflict.

Biography

A ward's loyalty becomes lethal impatience

Kass reports Atticus's survival to Elomont and repeatedly bristles when his lord tolerates insults or apparent disrespect. He obeys gestures to stand down even with his blade partly drawn, showing discipline beneath the anger. At the Hunter Association confrontation, Elomont finally orders him to kill Atticus; Kass steps forward as a Mid Level Three combatant, making his loyalty an active part of the ambush. (Chapters 1690–1692 and 1702–1704)

Appearance and personality

Kass is defined by murderous stares, gritted teeth, immediate bows, and a hand quick to draw his thin blade. The corpus does not securely establish his hair, eyes, or build. (Chapters 1690–1692 and 1702–1704)

Abilities, bloodlines, and will

He is explicitly Mid Level Three and uses a thin sword reinforced by Will, placing him above the Level Two fighters around him. The source does not name his Will path or show a completed exchange sufficient to define special mechanics, limits, or progression. His demonstrated strength is therefore rank, weapon readiness, and obedience under pressure. (Chapters 1702–1704)

Relationships

Elomont is his lord and guardian figure; Atticus and Aurora become the targets of his hostility.
