Biography

Fear redirected into useful discipline

Hen initially distrusts Atticus because of harm associated with powerful tiered youths and tries to pull Zara away from him. Atticus's pressure terrifies him but also forces a choice: leave or accept training and contribute. Hen joins the division's noncombatants, watches power protect people he could not save himself, and turns resentment into a determination to become capable rather than remain helpless. Appearance and personality
