Hella
Hella is a recurring supporting figure whose choices clarify the pressures surrounding the principal cast and institutions.
Biography
Duty tested by a dangerous recruit
Hella captains the Raven Camp squad that receives Atticus, suppressing Helodor's challenge and trying to keep missions orderly even when Atticus's strength upends her authority. She later joins the defense against the Obsidian attackers, using air-enhanced speed beside Orion. Fear and wounded pride gradually become respect; duty brings her back to support the Ravenstein youths at the academy and Nexus competition. (Chapters 51–57, 73, 95–112, and 394–521)
Appearance and personality
Hella is characterized by stern looks, confident steps, and a direct, bossy manner. Her seriousness can become intimidation, but it also reflects a strong sense of responsibility for trainees placed under her command. Fixed hair and eye colors are not securely established. (Chapters 51–55, 73, and 394)
Abilities, bloodlines, and will
She uses the air element to accelerate movement and sword attacks, and she practices a mana-assisted movement art that Atticus later studies. Her speed lets her coordinate neck strikes with Orion, but it does not overcome a Grandmaster-class enemy. No mature domain, Will, or later rank is demonstrated for her, so her latest mechanics remain those of a trained elemental swordswoman. (Chapters 62–63, 97, and 106)
Relationships
Helodor is the subordinate whose hostility she repeatedly restrains; Atticus becomes the younger trainee whose power forces her to revise her judgment.
