Gladious II Ornament

Gladious II Ornament is a desperate Highlord whose damaged stronghold becomes Atticus's base and source of guidance in the First Crown.

Biography

A rescued ruler and reluctant host

Gladious begins on his knees invoking the Absolute Crown while his elders maintain a desperate ritual, his city already under severe pressure. Atticus returns to the ruined castle and recognizes that a native ruler is the best available guide, while Gladious responds by kneeling and accepting him as Supreme Lord. The alliance gives Atticus local knowledge, lodging, and access to Will Limiters, though Gladious bargains reluctantly and parts with valuable possessions. He remains behind as Atticus's groups depart deeper into the Crown. (Chapters 1682–1695)

Appearance and personality

Gladious has dirty-golden hair and is repeatedly seen bowing or kneeling under pressure. He is reverent, desperate to preserve his people, and pragmatic enough to turn a terrifying outsider into a protector, though he still resists surrendering family or treasure without negotiation. (Chapters 1682, 1689, and 1695)

Abilities, bloodlines, and will

As Highlord, Gladious commands elders, a fortified city, ritual observances, and local higher-plane resources. His personal fighting techniques, Will stages, bloodline, weapon, activation conditions, and limits are not clearly demonstrated; his practical advantage is local authority and knowledge rather than shown supremacy in combat.
