Eyes at the edge of the formation

Eric joins Atticus's Ravenstein cohort with a quiet temperament that contrasts with Nate's provocations. His academy responsibility is concrete: he trains a small group to use forest cover and reconnaissance methods, chooses their purchases, and positions them at the rear beside Aria's larger ranger formation. That combination lets the division gather information without sacrificing its main force.
