Dronvet Vaxilom
Dronvet Vaxilom is the disciplined High Marshal who becomes Atticus's first slain god and leaves behind a world of soldiers determined to avenge him.
Biography
A marshal's fatal judgment
Dronvet arrives expecting order from the soldiers before him and becomes bitterly disappointed by what he sees. Interpreting Atticus's actions as harm to his people, he abandons the composed marshal's role and declares that he will personally kill him. Atticus defeats and kills Dronvet, absorbing the Will released at death. The loss survives as a political wound: Elesha remembers him as a father figure, and the people of Surnix Hold later march against Atticus in revenge. (Chapters 1242–1257, 1263–1290, and 1433–1446)
Appearance and personality
Dronvet is an imposing, highly respected officer whose public identity rests on discipline. His restraint collapses when he believes his soldiers have been harmed, revealing both genuine paternal attachment and a warlord's readiness to answer grief with execution. (Chapters 1242–1243)
Abilities, bloodlines, and will
Dronvet wields Will as a god and plants the Banner of Conqueror, a blue war-flag sigil spanning roughly a kilometer. The technique establishes a battlefield effect tied to command and conquest, though its complete bonuses and costs are not explained. Atticus can kill him and absorb the released Will, proving the banner is not absolute protection. (Chapters 1243–1251)
