Darius Vermore
Darius Vermore is the Grandmaster head of the Vermore family, whose alliance with the Obsidian Order brings judgment from the Ravensteins.
Biography
A family head judged as traitor
Darius is introduced receiving a subordinate with cold enjoyment of hierarchy, establishing a ruler concerned with control and display. Years later he remains head of the family governing Dusktown and meets the Ravensteins amid the exposure of collaboration with their enemies. Insulted and furious, he attempts to recover his authority through speech, but Sirius declares no mercy for traitors. The Ravensteins annihilate the Vermore force and estate within minutes, deliberately leaving Darius as the sole living witness to his family's destruction. (Chapters 121–123, 611–637, and 661–687)
Appearance and personality
Darius dresses in an immaculate suit with expensive accessories and retains a youthful appearance through Grandmaster longevity. He is cold, status-conscious, and easily enraged by disrespect, traits that leave him unable to recognize when his social authority has ceased to protect him. (Chapters 121 and 611–687)
Abilities, bloodlines, and will
Darius is explicitly Grandmaster rank, but the decisive confrontation focuses on judgment rather than a detailed display of his abilities.
