Cedric Ravenstein
Cedric Ravenstein is the ancestral guide within Atticus's life weapon, responsible for teaching him Katara's nature and sacrificing his remaining existence to preserve the heir.
Biography
Teacher within the blade
Cedric greets Atticus inside the katana and corrects his assumption that it is an ordinary sword, opening the youth's understanding of life weapons and Ravenstein history. He becomes a patient source of technique and context while Atticus grows outside the inner realm. When survival demands more than instruction, Cedric expends himself to give Atticus the needed strength. Atticus's later return to the dojo confirms that the elder is gone and reinterprets the familiar training space as the site of a permanent sacrifice. (Chapters 39, 98–111, 146, 623–653, and 1556)
Appearance and personality
Cedric appears as an older Ravenstein man within Katara's dojo. He is patient, gently corrective, and willing to place the lineage's future above his own continued presence. The corpus does not establish whether his inner-realm form exactly reproduces his living appearance. (Chapters 39 and 98–111)
Abilities, bloodlines, and will
Cedric understands life weapons, their arts, and the Ravenstein legacy, and can transfer his remaining power through Katara to aid Atticus. Because he exists as a preserved guide rather than an ordinary living combatant, the source does not provide a clean current rank, element set, or independent activation mechanics. His final transfer is permanent and consumes him. (Chapters 39, 98–111, and 623–653)
