Balanar

Balanar is an Abyss-faction god who attacks Atticus's territory and attempts to bargain for his exosuit by threatening everyone under his protection.

Biography

The bargain that failed

Balanar arrives praising Atticus's rapid rise while already treating the younger god's people as leverage. Believing himself overwhelmingly favored, he offers survival in exchange for the exosuit and Atticus's life, then turns to force when refused. Atticus's Will-conducting armor and allies overturn that calculation, leaving Balanar ruined and stripped of his composure. His final request is mercy for his family, which Atticus grants before adding Balanar's worlds to his own domain. (Chapters 1525–1535)

Appearance and personality

Balanar is tall, slender, and dressed in purple. His pleasant smile and conversational admiration conceal coercion; only when his control collapses does panic replace the performance. His last concern for his family adds a genuine attachment without excusing the threat he made against Atticus's people. (Chapters 1525–1533)

Abilities, bloodlines, and will

Balanar commands a large minor-world collection, projects Will across the challenge space, and fires concentrated beams. His faction can draw on dense environmental Will, but Atticus's defenses disperse his attack and his forces cannot answer coordinated Will armor.
