Attimax Ravenstein is Atticus's counterpart and host in the Rion Sanctum, a formidable son of Ilyshkara who bears the title God of Man.

Sanctum host and counterpart

Attimax receives Atticus after the latter's passage into a radically larger order of power. Born to Ilyshkara and raised with immense privilege, he nevertheless treats the visitor with controlled courtesy, guides him through the sanctum, and remains present as revelations about Primordials and Ravenstein history unfold. His later easy companionship with Avalon suggests that the meeting establishes a family connection rather than another rivalry, although his longer-term agenda remains unstated. Appearance and personality

Attimax is broad-shouldered, built for war, and carries a regal aura greater than Atticus can reproduce at their meeting. He is composed, economical with words, and comfortable enough around overwhelming beings to drink tea without visible concern. (Chapters 1745, 1753, and 1766)
