Aric Stormrider is the Stormrider paragon, a taciturn swordsman whose battle hunger and hardened Will make him one of humanity's strongest veterans.

Biography

Paragon in humanity's wars

Aric enters as the academy intake's commanding paragon, imposing order and distributing the devices that structure student life. He later joins humanity's paragons against threats that dwarf the academy, repeatedly choosing the offensive role and meeting massed enemies with direct sword pressure. Training in Virelenna hardens his Will without replacing the berserker bloodline at the center of his style, leaving him among the few fighters Whisker considers competitive for Atticus's Verge team. Appearance and personality

Aric is expressionless, controlled, and almost constantly prepared to fight; Kael strongly resembles him. That restraint contains a pronounced battle hunger, visible when his swords tremble and his aura turns savage before combat. (Chapters 159, 1218–1254, and 1430–1455)

Abilities, bloodlines, and will

Aric masters a broadsword and multiple orbiting swords, using them to carve through armies while his berserker bloodline supplies his main force. His Will reaches forged, field, and control stages, though Whisker ranks its refinement below Magnus and Oberon.
