Alvis
Alvis is the ruthless head of the Obsidian Order's Sector 3 branch and one of the earliest enemies connected to the attacks surrounding Atticus.
Biography
Branch master brought low
Alvis first investigates whether his branch was implicated in the attempt on the infant Atticus, more concerned with exposure and control than the victim. He later recruits Astrion and then Erion as talented disciples while directing the Order's hidden operations. When Atticus invades, Alvis uses a sealed artifact world and brutal close combat to try to contain him, but loses control of the encounter. By their last meeting, Alvis's former menace has collapsed into terror before the youth he helped antagonize. (Chapters 7, 89–148, 637–668, and 840–869)
Appearance and personality
Alvis has lustrous black hair to his shoulders, a groomed goatee, and traditional robes. He projects serene authority while punishing minor failures, but that composure is conditional: overwhelming defeat exposes a frightened, self-preserving man who pleads with Atticus. (Chapters 7, 89, 653, and 869)
Abilities, bloodlines, and will
As a Grandmaster, Alvis possesses crushing aura, extreme physical force, flight, and enough durability to batter Atticus through the ground. He also uses an artifact-controlled inner world to isolate opponents. The world is externally derived rather than proof of an innate spatial bloodline, and the corpus does not name a personal bloodline or establish later Will progression. (Chapters 637–668 and 840–869)
